Maritime Transport

The maritime transport in the Georgian economy has a strategically important role. Poti, Batumi and Kulevi ports are important in this regard. The transit cargo passing through Georgia will be transported to Varna, Constanta, Novorossiysk, Odessa and Istanbul ports.

Position of Georgia in International Ratings by the World Economic Forum's 2016-2017 according to Global Competitiveness Index is ranked 59th among 138 countries and its rating score is 4,32 from maximum 7 points.
