Why Georgia


Georgia is a country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. Georgia has very strategic location, that makes it attractive to any investor. Located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, it is bounded to the west by the Black Sea. The capital and largest city is Tbilisi. Its population is about 3.718 million. 83.4 percent of the population practices Eastern Orthodox Christianity. The sovereign state of Georgia is a unitary semi-presidential republic, with the government elected through a representative democracy.


Georgia is a very mountainous country with an amazing nature. The climate in Georgia is extremely diverse, considering the nation's small size. The wettest periods generally occur during spring and autumn, while winter and summer months tend to be the driest.

Three international airports, several national airports across the regions, Black Sea ports, three major oil and gas pipelines and well-developed railway systems are playing an important role in linking the East and West and significantly increase Georgia’s transit capacity. Georgia is developing into an international transport corridor through Batumi and Poti ports, Baku–Tbilisi–Kars Railway line, an oil pipeline from Baku through Tbilisi to Ceyhan, the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) and a parallel gas pipeline, the South Caucasus Pipeline.

In Georgia there are many modern universities with a good facilities. Most of them have three levels of study: a Bachelor's Program (three to four years); a Master's Program (two years), and a Doctoral Program (three years). Universities in Georgia offer programs for foreign students too.
Georgia is a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (The GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development is a regional organization of four post-Soviet states: Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova).  On 13 December 2016, EU and Georgia reached the agreement on visa liberalization for Georgian citizens. On 27 February 2017, the Council adopted a regulation on visa liberalization for Georgians travelling to the EU for a period of stay of 90 days in any 180-day period.  


Consequently, strategic location, attractive business climate, free trade regime, low taxes, competitive labor, corruption free environment and simplified licensing procedures make Georgia very attractive country for investors.
