Motor transport

Automobile transport in the transportation system of Georgia occupies the most important place. The opening of the border with Turkey has dramatically increased the activity of motor transport. An average of 17.2 million tons of cargo transportation is carried out annually. About 59.9% of cargo shipment comes to the traffic transit in Georgia. The total length of the international road for cargo transit is 1467 km, and the total length of the internal road is 3477 km.
